My All Time Favorite Sneaker

So this is my all time favorite sneaker that I have ever owned thus far. These my friend are the Nike Blazer ~ Mid Premium Vintage Floral LA QS colorway. Wow, that's pretty hard to sat super fast! These shoes were a part of the summer 2014 Floral City Pack. The Floral portion is pretty obvious and the city part pertains with the initials on the back collar of the shoe. For my colorway I chose the Los Angeles themed model.

All three of these shoes were quickstrikes and were in limited quantities and sold at a few stores. All three shoes were represented by a flower. The LA model was represented by a bird of paradise flower. The Chicago colorway was represented by chrysanthemums and the New York City colorway was represented by a mix of different daffodils. Note Nike messed up their statement below the NYC shoe does not have dandelions. I guess they don't know how to tell flowers apart.

Nike Sportswear pays a summertime homage to the cities of Los Angeles, Chicago and New York with a brand new pack of floral-emblazoned Blazers. Given the vintage treatment with retro branding, nylon tongues and exposed tongue padding, the trio of timeless mid-tops sees floral-covered canvas uppers coupled with suede Swooshes, contrasting white accents and city embroidery at the heel. While the LA pair sees a “Birds of Paradise” motif, the Windy City Blazer sports chrysanthemums as a nod to Chicago’s official flower. Finally, New York’s gets a dandelion graphic as an ode to “wishful thinking and the quick pace” of life in the Big Apple.

Why is it my favorite

I have a lot of good memories wearing these shoes and I like them so much that I still have them and I basically only wear them if I have to do yard work or if I'm on a late night grocery store run. They're pretty beat up so I only wear them for those reasons. If I had to sum up the reason why these shoes are my favorite it would be nostalgia. I got these shoes right after I graduated high school and I wore them pretty much everyday of my first year of college. Whenever I wore them strangers would come up to me and compliment my shoes. "Like the shoes," or "I really like your shoes," compliments like that happened almost daily.

If you have seen my other post, these shoes are a whole lot different theme-wise than what's in my current rotation. Normally I like neutral colored shoes because the look clean and go great with any outfit, but I just thought these would look great to wear in the summer and I had to have them. I do wish I took better care of them which is something I didn't start doing until my second year of college. I do find it ironic that I got these shoes and they're supposed to represent Los Angeles and four years later I ended up living in Los Angeles! It's a total coincidence because I never planned on moving to Los Angeles, it just happened. Do you have a favorite sneaker that you want to talk about?
